Abbey Road Pub & Restaurant

Address: 203 22nd Street
Abbey Road Pub & Restaurant (Virginia Beach)

“It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play…” and it was more than twenty years ago today when the bands began to play, right here at Abbey Road. Owner Bill Dillon has been bringing the best in live entertainment and good food to the residents and visitors of Tidewater since Abbey Road was established in 1982. Our fresh seafood, beef, and pasta dishes are summed up by The Virginian Pilot’s restaurant review headline: “Abbey Road Leads Diners to a Satisfying Evening,” and our great entertainment is confirmed by Hampton Road’s Port Folio Magazine: “Abbey Road is the Best Acoustic Venue in Tidewater, offering the best and the most variety…” After spending three and a half years in the food service industry bussing and waiting tables, Dillon decided in the summer of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach. Having been heavily influenced by the Beatles when growing up, thanks to his two older sisters who listened to their records all the time, he decided to name it ’Abbey Road’ after the last album the Beatles recorded before they split up in 1970 (thanks, Yoko).
